Parenting is one of the most rewarding and difficult experiences. Most parents will encounter a few bumps in the road as their child moves from baby to teen to adult. Not because they are not good parents but rather because the road is bumpy!

Seeking support for your child or yourself, as a parent, is an act of love and recognition that children/teens are complex and don’t come with a manual. There are so many factors that influence and affect your child, you and your family; emotional development, peer relationships, learning needs, cognitive development, social experiences, personality, difficult medical situations, problems at school, dealing with divorce/blended families, sibling rivalry, etc.

The focus of my work with children, teenagers and families is to help improve the health and well-being of the child, the teen, the parents and the family. But, treatment does not necessarily follow a prescribed route. I may work directly with your child/teenager, provide parenting support/education, and/or work with both parent and child. In the first few sessions we will collaboratively determine the goals for treatment and develop a plan for how to proceed.
